Kelly is a Fort Wayne native & she loves our big/little city which she thinks is so amazing to see growing bit by bit, year by year. Kelly is a wife, a daughter, a sister, a friend & a very proud mom of a spectacular 13-year old boy, who totally has her wrapped around his finger. She recently went back to work after doing the stay-at-home mom gig for 10 years… It’s been a HUGE year for her! Kelly feels so very blessed.
How long has fitness been in Kelly’s life?
Forever! Kelly took her first ballet class at age 3, by age 10 she auditioned and made the dance company at Tiffany & Co. Studio of Dance. She competed and travelled around the US and Italy performing. Kelly began teaching dance throughout her high school years — this is when her passion for and commitment to dance grew, evolved, challenged her, and took her places she never thought she could go. Kelly entered Ball State University as a Dance Major and became a member of the BSU Ballet Company. Dance will forever be in her heart, who she is at her core and always a part of her life. She also enjoys pilates, yoga, and boxing to balance soft, graceful moves with tough aggressive hits. It’s what works for her body.
What made Kelly become a barre instructor?
Kelly took her first barre class five years ago and was hooked, obsessed, ADDICTED! It felt so good for her to get back to the barre & she found her home, her happy place again. Her ballet background directly impacts her passion for teaching, dedication, energy and her form. Kelly brings the technique and the fundamentals of dance/ballet that she has trained and conditioned with her whole life to her barre classes.
