Tina Tazian
E-RYT 200, BA Liberal arts/Modern Dance.
Tina was first introduced to Yoga and meditation in 1978 the year she graduated high school. As a gymnast and dancer she loved the physical practice and she was also drawn to the deep inner work of the traditional Indian styles taught then. After years of concentrated dance study, she returned to Yoga and never left. Her style mixes Vinyasa flow with alignment and accessible forms of guided meditation. Her experience helps her to ‘read bodies’ and tailor her class level to the room. She loves to breakdown poses and offer prep work that challenges strength and flexibility. She believes that Yoga is for everyone. She is equally comfortable teaching gentle classes as she is teaching inversions and arm balances. All her classes focus on harmonizing the active (sun) and passive (moon) energies to create balance in the body and peace of mind. She obtained her 200-hr Yoga Alliance certificate from Kachmann Mind Body and Prairie Yoga, Lisle, Illinois. She believes a good teacher remains a student forever and she enjoys studying with master teachers whenever possible.
